On Thursday November 24, 2022, Maarte Pabebe was fortunate enough to vendor at TMU's Shop the SLC! It was out very first market and it was an incredible experience for us all!
Shop the SLC is an annual market hosted by Toronto Metropolitan University, and is held at their Sheldon & Tracy Learning Centre. Their winter market accommodated a number of local artisans and food vendors - all selling their products just in time for the winter holidays!
We got to table alongside many other incredible vendors and had the opportunity to meet with so many kind participants. Having an online store - as convenient as it is - can never beat the human interaction that comes with selling in-person. Every time someone stopped at our table, we got the opportunity to share our story and show how much love and care we made into every product.
Ever since we started our shop, we've always wanted to participate in markets, but feared our items wouldn't be received as well... Luckily, our experience at Shop the SLC exceeded our expectations and gave us the confidence to participate in more in-person markets!
